Blog for Individuals and Neurodiverse Couples Affected by ASD
Spot on. You touched on some things that I had forgotten about, such as the crazy cycle of trying to find that 'good' part of our marriage again, which I didn't know stressed him out and pushed him further away. Weather and what's for supper are about the only words he wants to share on any day. The rest of life: bills, kids, any decisions for our family, are left up to me.
How do you overcome the communication barriers? My husband and I struggle with the same situation... he'll talk at me about his job, weather, where to go for dinner etc.,or with me if there's people around. Frustrating.
