Antidepressants and anti psychotics work in the short term - they make you more suicidal for the first few weeks so brace yourself, but then they make a massive difference - way fewer inescapable mental stress loops. Exercise every day. Proper exercise ( walking and / or gentle swimming do no good). Exercise helps a bunch. Find / reach out to someone you totally trust and unload (maximum twice, don't risk the long term relationship ship). Eliminate all sources of stress possible (short term) including negative relationships, negative work environments, sort out any financial worries asap ( ask for help, people will if it's a genuine one off and if you're genuinely in trouble - they'll surprise you), try to point your life in a direction towards increasing the number of choices / options you have in / over your life (financial / residence / job / routines). My anxiety levels and sleep patterns are always better when I'm confident that no matter what happens I can choose a plan b with confidence, and I can always escape. Do not allow yourself to feel trapped in or by anything or any relationship/ person / financial commitment. That's almost impossible to shoulder without that anxiety and sleep nightmare perpetuating. Hope that helps!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02944324050661250377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-212330848782074107.post-33282446151173604902017-07-03T00:20:21.601-07:002017-07-03T00:20:21.601-07:00We don't like being unsociable, many like me e...We don't like being unsociable, many like me experience being treated like crap from people early on, and in my case lots of verbal abuse from people other than my mom who single handedly raised me until she married my step dad when I was 15. I've been working on getting help as needed to overcome my past, as a work in progress. For many years I've been apprehensive and angrily defensive of strangers. We don't it's just very difficult. Sometimes being alone is the easiest way out but it can be isolating. I'm hesitant to say lonely but perhaps it is loneliness. It's just not Company wanted at any cost though. It has to be Comfortable or at least understanding company. It's difficult though having no Co.pany most of the time<br />Though. He is 29. This article came in my email at the perfect time, as we have begun to research AS in adults (& children). He has always identified w/ our 5 year old son, who is High Functioning Autistic, but he figured it was just because they are father & son. He has been in therapy for some things lately & this is what has lead him & others to believe he has AS. Everything we have been reading describe him to a 'T'. However, this article has been incredibly beneficial to us, & describes him perfectly. It helped explain & clarify certain situations he recalls from childhood as well. Thank you for this article! It has been very helpful, informative & is another confirmation for us that he is on the right track (w/ pursuing help and support for his AS).Mollynoreply@blogger.com
